Beronia is a winery in La Rioja founded in 1973 by a group of businessmen who love wine. Its name is due to the origin of a Celtic town called "Berones" in the third century BC. about the current lands that La Rioja, which was then called "Beronia". In 1982, the winery was acquired by the González Byass family to continue growing and producing great wines with their own distinctive style.

Bodegas Beronia has twenty-five hectares of vineyards in the region plus another eight hundred seventy hectares of foreign vineyards selected and controlled by the technical team of the winery made up of great professionals in winemaking and viticulture. Some of the grapes they select come from centuries-old vineyards, some of which survived the phylloxera plague at the end of the 19th century, and whose quality is highly guaranteed. It is therefore reasonable that the average age of these vineyards exceeds thirty years of age.

The varieties they grow are basically typical of Rioja, that is, Tempranillo, Graciano, Mazuelo, Viura and Garnacha with a yield never higher than 6,500 kg per hectare for red grape varieties and 9,000 kg per hectare for grape varieties white In addition, Beronia contributes to the environment and sustainable viticulture through the use of diverse techniques that guarantee the best functioning of the ecosystem and flora of the farms.

The style of Beronia is that in which the long crianzas prevail, wines with a long life bred in French, American and mixed oak barrels in an underground warehouse with a controlled temperature suitable for the production of high quality wines where these are bred and tuned before commercialization.

Within the range of Beronia wines we can distinguish the varietal collection, formed by powerful monovarietal wines and unique results of the research and development of the winery; the classic range, formed by aging, reserve and great reserve; and an organic 100% Tempranillo wine made from the beginning of organic viticulture.
