Carmelo Rodero is a winery located in Ribera del Duero. Specifically, Bodegas Carmelo Rodero is located in Pedrosa de Duero (Burgos). In fact, it is located in an area full of vineyards and well-known wineries due to its proximity to the Duero River.
Its founder, Carmelo Rodero, has always dedicated himself to the cultivation of the vine. For this reason, from a very young age he opted for the purchase of vineyards whose grapes he sold to other wineries. However, he finally wanted to start his own career by founding Bodegas Carmelo Rodero.
The winery was launched in 1990 and since then it has not stopped gaining a reputation. The main reason is because Bodegas Carmelo Rodero has always bet on the quality of its wines. Likewise, the vineyards constitute the base of this winery. All in order to obtain the best grape or as they call "La Perla Negra".
Currently, the winery has 140 hectares of vineyards. These vineyards are divided into different plots that allow better control. In them, the Tempranillo (Tinto Fino), the Cabernet Sauvignon and the Merlot are mainly cultivated. In this way, Bodegas Carmelo Rodero makes its wines.

The winery has a wide range of wines that it makes in Ribera del Duero. These wines range from young reds to reserva or gran reserva reds. For this reason, Carmelo Rodero wine has a very varied range.
Carmelo Rodero Crianza wine is perhaps the flagship of the winery. However, other wines such as Carmelo Rodero 9 Meses or Reserva are also famous due to their high quality. In fact, these wines have an excellent structure and an unprecedented aromatic intensity. For this reason, each vintage gains more recognition among the opinion of critics and customers.
Carmelo Rodero Reserva is made with a Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon from old vineyards. In addition, its aging for 21 months in French oak barrels gives it some very special aromatic nuances. For this reason, the notes of vanilla, cinnamon or coffee are undoubtedly a clear example of the quality of this wine.
Within the range of wines from Bodegas Carmelo Rodero, its TSM also stands out. This wine, known as TSM Carmelo Rodero, has a unique personality and elegance. Its elaboration is based on the combination of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from old vineyards. In addition, it has a very traditional fermentation and maceration that leads to an aging of 18 months in oak barrels. An exceptional and complex Carmelo Rodero wine that is worth tasting at some point.
