Bodegas Martín Códax is located in the Salnés Valley within the Rías Baixas appellation where the native white variety of Albariño is cultivated and elaborated.
The name of the winery refers to a famous Galician troubadour whose verses worshiped the love and the sea of the Galician coasts. Like almost all the wineries in the area, Martín Códax was born of a group of grape growers who love the sea and the vineyards who had their own vineyards in the area. Little by little his illusion paid off and the winery was consolidated thanks to the quality of the wines he made until it became what it is today, a winery committed to culture, art and the environment.
His winemakers Katia Álvarez and Luciano Amoedo run the winery in order to create great wines aimed at a wide public interested in the wines of Rías Baixas.
The vineyards of the winery are located in small plots maintaining the wine tradition. These in the form of vines are taken care of by the technical staff of the company in order to obtain high quality harvests.
