Since 1999, Pittacum is a small winery located in the region of Arganza, within the designation of origin El Bierzo (León) that produces authentic high quality wines based on the faithful tradition of the cultivation of the variety par excellence of this area, the Mencía
In 2002, the Terras Gauda group entered the shareholding of this family business to transmit its productive and business values, and thus begin to market wines with a lot of personality, a true reflection of their terroirs.
Pittacum has several farms with a total extension of 5 hectares of their own vineyards where they practice ecological viticulture techniques for full respect for the environment and the health of their consumers. The strains have an average age of 65 years and have a complete follow-up by highly qualified winemaking professionals.
