Cap de Barbaria wine made in the island of Formentera (Ills Balears) since 2000 with a philosophy marked by the production of signature wines by native varieties of the island such as Monastrell and Fogoneu, together with the combination of two classics : Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, which create a powerful and unique wine.
The geographical and climatic conditions to which the winery's lands are subjected make possible the elaboration of different and attractive wines. The climate of the region is dry and very warm in the summer months, and the soils vary from sandy where Merlot is cultivated to stony where the vineyards of Cabernet Sauvignon live.
The vineyards of the autochthonous varieties of Monastrell and Fogoneu have an average age of 50 years and this gives the wine a very special personality.
The two wines that the winery produces are Cap de Barbaria crianza 2010 and Ophiusa tinto jóven 2012. Both have a high quality and have great national and international prestige. So Cap de Barbaria 2010 has 94 points in the Peñin Guide.
