Carlos Serres is a century-old Rioja winery located in Haro. Its founder was a businessman of French origin who wanted to produce wines with an authentic personality full of character and that reflected well the quality of the wines of this region. Currently, Carlos Serres wines are a mixture of tradition and exceptional modernity.
It is a century-old winery pioneer in the export of La Rioja wines since 1896. At that time the winery was located next to the train station of the municipality of Haro, in order to facilitate the transport of wine.
In 2016, with 89 points, the wine Carlos Serres Crianza received the honor of being the best wine of Rioja breeding in value for money by Robert Parker.
The wines of Carlos Serres are unique, full of personality. Its founder said: "I founded my winery in Haro so that the world would know the virtues of this land and its elegant wines", and this means that Rioja wines were already well known all over the world and that businessmen like Serres began to see the world of wine from a much more global and dynamic perspective, as well as, Carlos Serres was one of the promoters of aged wines. In short, this nineteenth-century winery was key in the development of quality wine in Rioja, and today we have left the legacy of good wines that today still market at very competitive prices.
