The Mumm family, closely linked to the world of champagne wine, has its origins in the 12th century, including people of the highest nobility, among them barons and knights of the area. Already in the eighteenth century, it is known that they marketed with wine with the name "P.A. MUMM", in honor of its founder Peter Arnold, who owned vineyards in a prestigious area of the Rhine Valley in Germany.
