Conca de Barberá is a designation of origin located in the province of Tarragona, exactly to the northwest, although very close to the sea, with an altitude that varies between 350 and 600 meters above sea level.
The climate is Mediterranean with influence contiental to be close to the mountains and in the area of the Depression of the Ebro, this gives rise to an area with large thermal variations.
The soil is calcareous with erosions of the Francolí river. The varieties grown are Macabeo, Parellada and Trepat (native to the area). Their wines, in general, are white, although you can find red, rosé and sparkling wines.
