La Maldita Wines is a Rioja winery. The winemaking project came up with the idea of making Rioja de Garnacha wines. In fact, its wines are marketed under the La Maldita Garnacha brand. The reason is that this variety of grape for centuries has been considered bad to grow because of its low yields.
The La Maldita Garnacha range of wines therefore represents the recovery of a variety of grape. The red Garnacha far from being cursed requires great efforts for its cultivation. On the one hand, because its cultivation has to occur in higher areas with difficult access. And on the other, because its yield is lower compared to other varieties. However, La Garnacha produces wines with very interesting and precious organoleptic properties.
