Orto Vins is a family winery located in Priorat. Its start-up began in 2008, although its ancestors had been cultivating the winery's vineyards for a long time. For this reason, the Orto Vins vineyards are, after all, the heritage of a long winemaking tradition in the area.
Joan Asens, Jordi Beltrán, Josep Mª Beltrán and Josep Mª Juvé are the four winegrowers who lead the Orto Vins project. Aware of the high value of its vineyards, made up of some 30 hectares of land where the Cariñena, Garnacha, Tempranillo and Picapoll Negro varieties are grown.
The Orto Vins vineyard is classified into small plots located on the gentle slopes of Priorat between 50 and 300 meters above sea level. The land is normally calcareous with a predominance of clay, although gravel, lacquer and slate can also be found. Likewise, the southern orientation of the vineyard gives rise to an almost perfect photosynthesis of the vine. Also noteworthy are the biodynamic and organic viticulture techniques used to cultivate the Orto Vins vineyards.
Bodega Orto Vins produces high-quality Priorat wines. In the first place, for the quality of its grapes, and finally for the performance of the human and technological team in its facilities. Likewise, Orto Vins wines are highly valued in the area and internationally for being a perfect harmony and reflection of the viticulture of this region.
