Wines of Rías Baixas at the best price online. Rías Baixas is a designation of origin since 1988 located in the east of Galicia, divided into five zones: Val Do Salnés, Ribeira Do Ulla, O Rosal, Saoutomaior and Condado de Tea.
It is endowed with a special climate that makes possible the cultivation of native varieties of the area such as albariño, white variety par excellence of the wines of Galicia that gives rise to fresh and soft wines with fruity and floral aromas very well defined.
It is believed that the first vineyards of the denomination date from the 12th century, when the monks of the Monastery of Armenteira began to cultivate the vine (Albariño), although the genetic provenance of the Albariño variety is unknown.
The climate of the denomination is special, soft precipitations, with moderate temperatures in Winter and Autumn. The summers are cool and with a certain anticyclonic stability, although with fresh air from the Atlantic that keeps the temperatures mild.
Their wines are unique and internationally recognized thanks to the good positioning in the exports of the large wineries in the area in the most international markets, and thanks also to small bodegeros in the area who produce author wines in search of a quality that exceeds the limits of excellence.
