Viñas del Vero is a small winery located next to the river that gives its name to the winery, within the denomination of origin Somontano (Huesca). Its origin dates back to 1986 when its owners acquired 550 hectares of vineyards near the municipality of Barbastro and bordering towns in order to produce great wines from unique varieties such as Tempranillo, Moristel, Macabeo, Garnacha, Merlot, or Chardonnay among others. many.
During the first years, the winery elaborated wines in an experimental room in a very rustic way, but with the passing of the years, they were doing with a greater market share and expanding their facilities for the construction of a new winery in the farm of " San Marcos "where currently all the wines they produce are made. In 2008, the González Byass family entered the shareholding of the company given the high demand that in recent years had received its wines, thus, at present, can boast of being the largest winery in the Somontano region with greater volume and quality of production in the area.
